Privacy Policy
How NK Consultancy collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. Last updated 15 October 2026.
1. Who we are
This website and our services are run by NK Consultancy Enterprise Ltd (“NK Consultancy”, “we”, “us”), registered in Cameroon under RCCM number CM-BFX-01-2022-A10-00017, Koptchou, Bafoussam, Cameroon. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@nkconsultancyltd.com or on WhatsApp at +90 506 315 7998.
We handle personal information in line with the data-protection laws that apply to us, including Cameroon’s law on the protection of personal data and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What we collect
When you visit this website
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the website.
- Fonts. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Your browser only. If you build a programme shortlist, it is saved in your own browser’s storage. It is not sent to us unless you choose to send it.
- No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
When you contact us
Our enquiry form does not send anything by itself. It prepares a message that you send to us yourself by WhatsApp or email. When you contact us, we receive what you choose to share, usually your name, phone number or email address, the subject you want to study, your preferred destination and any questions.
When you become a client
To advise you and prepare your applications, we may collect:
- identity and contact details, such as your full name, date of birth, nationality, address, phone number and email;
- passport details and a copy of your passport;
- academic records, such as certificates, transcripts, language test results and CVs;
- application information, such as your chosen programmes, universities, statements and references;
- financial information needed for applications or visas, such as proof of funds and sponsor details;
- details of a parent, guardian or sponsor who is involved in your studies or payments;
- our messages with you and notes about your file.
If you use the student portal
We also hold your account details (name, email and an encrypted password), the documents you upload, your tasks, messages and the status of your applications.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a consultation, because you asked us to.
- To provide our services: advising you, preparing and submitting applications, scholarship guidance, visa-document preparation, residence-permit applications in Türkiye and pre-departure support, as agreed with you.
- To meet legal obligations, for example keeping accounting records.
- To run and protect our website and portal, which is in our legitimate interest.
- With your consent for anything else, for example sharing your story as a testimonial. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed for the purpose:
- Universities and colleges you choose to apply to.
- Scholarship bodies when you apply for a scholarship with our help.
- Embassies, consulates and immigration authorities, only when you ask us to help with a visa or residence-permit application.
- Arrival-service providers, such as accommodation or airport pickup, only if those services are part of your agreed package.
- Service providers who work for us: Google Workspace and Zoho (email), WhatsApp/Meta (messaging), Netlify (website hosting), Supabase (student portal database and document storage) and Google Fonts. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Universities, scholarship bodies and authorities make their own decisions and handle your information under their own privacy policies.
5. International transfers
Studying abroad means your information will be sent to institutions and authorities in other countries, such as Türkiye, countries in Europe or Canada. Some of our service providers also store data outside your country. We send only what each application needs, and we use providers that apply recognised safeguards to protect personal data.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to our services: deleted 12 months after our last contact.
- Student files, including documents and messages: kept for 3 years after our last contact, so we can help if you come back or need records. After that we delete or anonymise them.
- Invoices and payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Portal accounts: closed and deleted on request, or after 3 years without activity.
You can ask us to delete your information earlier. We will do so unless we must keep it by law or to deal with an open application or dispute.
7. Security
Only the NK staff working on your file can see it. In the student portal, documents are stored in private storage and opened through short-lived links, and each student can see only their own file. No system is perfectly secure, so please send only the documents we ask for, and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- limit or stop how we use it, or object to a use;
- give you your information in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw a consent you gave.
Email info@nkconsultancyltd.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
9. Students under 18
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to our services and to the use of your information, and we will involve them in your file.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell current clients about important changes.
